Delivery Valve For Kirloskar And English Peter Diesel Engine

The Delivery Valves Comprises Of The Body And A Fluted Plunger. In A Constant Volume Delivery Valve, The Functional Part Of The Body Is The Conical Seat And That Of Plunger Are The Retraction Piston And The Conical Seat. The Plunger Is Closely Matched Together With The Body. When The Element Plunger Moves Towards The Tdc The Delivery Valve Plunger Lifts To Allow Fuel Into The High-pressure Line, When The Element Plunger Helix Terminates The Fuel Delivery, The Delivery Valve Plunger Closes-off The High Pressure Line. The Volume Available In The High-pressure Line Is Increased By The Retraction Volume. Delivery Valve Controles  The Supply Of Diesel  To The Injector Where It Is Converted To Vapours By The Nozzle. The Excess Or Shortage Of The Diesel Supply Leads To Poor Efficiency Of The Diesel Engine And It Stops Running Smoothly And Even Some Types Stop Running. Delivery Valve Is Used To Assist In The Rapid Built Of Pressure In The Injection Line And To Cut Of The Flow Of Fuel At The Termination Of Fuel Injection Pulse. It Is Seated On Top Of The Element In The Fuel Pump.
